NOTICE OF THE 2026 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

In accordance with the NSBA Bylaws, all members are encouraged and welcome to attend. Members are defined as parents/guardians with players registered and played in the NSBA for the 2026 Spring Season. This meeting is not open to the public or non-members.
Voting:
Members in good standing will have one vote at the meeting. Voting by proxy is not permitted.
The agenda is as follows:
- Call to Order.
- Approval of the 2026 AGM Agenda.
- Approval of the 2025 AGM Minutes.
- Reports (President, Treasurer).
- Committee Updates
- Other Business/Reports NOT Requiring a Special Meeting.
- Election of Executive and Board.
- Draw for one free registration.
- Adjournment.
The Bylaws stipulate that the membership will elect a minimum of six (6) Directors. At the AGM, attending members may also vote to increase the number of Directors beyond this amount. The current Board is recommending ten (10) Directors including the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer for the upcoming year.
We elect all our roles each year, so the following are the positions:
- President: Chris Bowman (incumbent running again)
- Vice President: Brian Beasley (incumbent running again)
- Treasurer: Jen Beasley (incumbent running again)
- Secretary: OPEN
- Registrar: Kyle Johnson (incumbent running again)
- Directors at Large:
- Clara Cheong
- Colin Lavers
- Geff teBoekhorst
- Kara Lavers
- Nick Van Dyk
If you would like to run for any of these positions, you are welcome to submit your nomination.

We continue to seek interested volunteers to help out with other important volunteer roles. Examples include:
- Uniform and Apparel Coordinator(s)
- Sponsorship Coordinator
- Equipment Manager and Buyer
- Volunteer Coordinator
- Opening Day Coordinator
- Age Division Coordinators
- 5U/7U Jamboree Coordinator
- Tournament Coordinator
How to Nominate or Volunteer
If you would like to nominate someone or express interest in a role, please contact Secretary, Kara Lavers, at secretary@northshorebaseball.ca no later than September 17. You are also welcome to bring forward nominations from the floor at the AGM.
Why Your Involvement Matters
NSBA is run entirely by volunteers, and every role-large or small-makes a difference. Whether you are passionate about bringing in sponsors, organizing events, coordinating concessions, or managing equipment, your support ensures that our players and families continue to have a fantastic baseball experience.
Note: Attendees will be entered into a draw for one free registration.
