The North Shore Baseball Association is excited to welcome you to our 10th Annual Opening Day as we kick off the spring baseball season! We ask that all teams plan to attend, as this is also our official Photo Day and a great opportunity to bring the entire NSBA community together.

Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Opening Ceremonies at 10:30 AM on the diamond – all teams will be introduced)

Opening Day Event Details:
Please bring your entire family and enjoy a BBQ, Bouncy Obstacle Courses, Glitter Tattoos, a Balloon Artist, a 5U Base Race, colouring contest, an Equipment Swap, 50/50 Draw, Raffle (prizes below), food and drink samples by some of our sponsors, an Opening Speech by our President and Mayor, a first pitch by NSBA Alumni, 13U AAA baseball game, team and individual photos, and more.
Agenda:
- 10:15 AM – All Teams and Spectators arrive on the diamond
- 10:30 AM – Opening Speeches from our NSBA President and Mayor of North Van City and District.
- 10:45 AM – Introduction of All Teams
- 10:50 AM – 5U Base Race
- 11:00 AM – First pitch by NSBA 2016 Alumni
- 1:00 PM – 13U AAA Baseball Game vs Ladner, spectators welcome and encouraged!
- Team and individual photos between 9 AM – 2 PM, Photo Time Details
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your teams photo start time
- Please bring your photo order form filled out, regardless if you are ordering any photos – each player will receive a free team photo and an individual photo. Photo Order Form (additional photo forms will be available on site)
- Players can bring their own bats for pictures
- BBQ will be running from 10 AM – 3:00 PM (players will receive a free hotdog, chips and juice) Concession will be open to purchase hotdogs/hamburgers and other items. (Veggie hotdogs will be offered as well)
Online 50/50 Draw (proceeds go to BC Cancer Research):
- Available for purchase on-site, but also online from April 4 – May 15th

What Else to Bring:
- We welcome any unused baseball equipment you are willing to donate or exchange. A designated table will be available for equipment swaps.
Weather:
- If light rain, all activities will still commence. If we have heavy rain, pictures and BBQ will still be on and all other activities will be cancelled.
Parking:
- There will be ample parking on the gravel field next to Chris Zuehlke
