All players wanting to try out for the AAA team should be prepared to be at all sessions. After the first Saturday session an email will be sent out to each player at the session to let them know whether they will continue on to the Sunday session or not. All those wanting to try out for AAA should show up on the Saturday on time irrespective of the weather. Please bring your baseball equipment (glove, helmet, bat, athletic support, appropriate footwear, etc). Backcatchers should bring their own equipment if you have it, but for those that do not we will have a couple of sets that can be used during the tryouts. Remember that in AAA only wood bats are allowed and each player is expected to supply their own bat.

There is a higher commitment level required at the AAA level and an expectation of full participation from its players. Also there are additional costs that we are estimating will be over $1,000 per player (to be confirmed once we know # of players, tournaments, etc). If you have any questions at all about the AAA team (commitment, cost, travel, etc.) please contact the Head Coach, Cal Pye, at the above contact info.

AA Assessments

For those that are not wanting to play AAA or unsuccessful in making the AAA team, we will be holding assessments of all those players in order that we may balance our AA teams for the spring season. We have not confirmed dates for the AA assessments, but they will most likely be held either the February 24th or 25th dates or March 3rd or 4th.

Each player will be emailed a time for their assessment as we will split the group up into 2 groups with each assessment session lasting no longer than 90 minutes. An email will go out once we know the dates of the assessments. Players will be assessed and scored on hitting, pitching and fielding. Everyone makes a team, we just want to make sure they are as balanced as possible.

Please bring your baseball equipment (glove, helmet, bat (we’ll have league bats to use as well), athletic support, appropriate footwear, etc). We will also have sets of backcatcher’s equipment available for use as well, as players are not expected to supply their own catching gear during the season.

The hope is that we will have all our teams named before Spring Break starts so that once Spring Break is over we will be able to start right into practices and games (AAA may start sooner).
