Thank you for Opening Day Ceremony Success

April 10, 2018

The North Shore Baseball Association Opening Day Ceremony on Sunday, April 8, 2018 was a huge success. We could not have done it without all of the volunteers that put in their time. The weather cooperated reasonably well and there were many happy players and parents.

It was great to have the following dignitaries come out and give a little speech, BC Baseball President Mike Sarai, Mayor Darrell Mussatto, BC MLA Bowinn Ma, and Neptune Terminals Lisa Dooling.

NSBA President Jacquie Griffiths opening speech

Welcome to the 2018 baseball season. What an exciting time as the sun comes out and practices and games are underway. It is hard to believe that in our second season we have over 750 players strong. The growth has been phenomenal and we are the largest baseball association on the North Shore. I want the players to know that all of this is possible due to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and the passion they bring to this sport and our association. I also want to thank our sponsors for their continued dedication and support for our players. As a board of directors, we look forward to continued growth and success and bringing each and every player a positive baseball experience from the ages of 4 through 24. Thank you for choosing the North Shore Baseball Association and all the best to all our baseball families for this upcoming season.

Message from BC Baseball President Mike Sarai

I have attended many Opening Day Ceremonies over the years, and I was absolutely taken away by North Shore Baseball’s on Sunday. The energy and vibe was outstanding. I was also very impressed and touched from several executive persons who made it a point to approach myself and take a few minutes to talk all things baseball. And a big thanks to you again Jacquie. Your time and involvement does not go unrecognized. Great passion from many.
