North Shore Baseball Association is pleased to continue the Forest Hills tradition of The Nigel Moore Baseball Scholarship. This year we are able to offer multiple $500 scholarships to players with at least three years of youth baseball graduating from secondary school this year and proceeding to a post-secondary institution.
During the summer of 2012 youth baseball lost a very special friend, Nigel Moore. Nigel is remembered as an enthusiastic, dedicated player who treated everyone fairly and kindly on and off the field. His personal qualities shone through baseball: his love for the game, his kindness towards those around him, and most of all, his willingness to just have fun.
The Nigel Moore Baseball Scholarship is awarded to the players who best exemplifies some of the qualities Nigel Moore displayed both on and off the field, such as dedication, enthusiasm, sportsmanship and positive energy.
