Overview

2023 NSBA Fall Ball Registration is Now Open

North Shore Baseball Association is offering Fall Ball for 9U, 11U, 13U, 15U, and 18U divisions. The NSBA welcomes ALL players to come and join Fall Ball.

The fall season places players who just completed the second year of a division and moves them into the next division to give them exposure in advance of the 2024 Spring Season. For example, a player who was a second year, born in 2010, 13U player in spring/summer 2023 would play Fall Ball in the 15U division.

Registration is open from Sunday, August 20, 2023 to Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Register ASAP, as space is limited.

The fall season is less structured than spring or summer. There are no team standings, more positional opportunities and rosters are created based on availability.

Refund Procedure:

To cancel registration for a player and request a refund, you must submit your request by email to NSBA Registrar

Refund Deadlines:
  • Full refund, minus $25 administration fee, prior to September 6th.
  • No refunds after September 5th.

9U

Born in Years: 2016 & 2015
Ages (as of Jan. 1st, 2024): 7 – 8

NSBA will be offering an outdoor 9U Fall Ball. It is meant to be fun and engaging. The sessions will focus on the fundamentals – hitting, throwing, fielding, and pitching. It also focuses on explaining the game of baseball.

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Start Date: Tuesday, September 5, 2023

End Date: Thursday, October 5, 2023

Time: 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM, Arrival Time: 4:45 PM

Total Sessions: 10 (75 minutes per session)

Location: Eldon Park (4010 Ruby Avenue, North Vancouver, BC)

Note: This outdoor Fall Ball option is meant to be fun and engaging. Will focus on hitting, pitching and other skills required for play at this level. Sessions are weather dependent.

Games: scrimmage within the group, maybe games near the end subject to interest and coach availability.

Coaches: These sessions will be coached by two paid professional Travail coaches.

Max Spots: 14

Cost: $210.00 ($21.00 per session)

11U

Born in Years: 2014 & 2013
Ages (as of Jan. 1st, 2024): 9 – 10

NSBA will be tiering our outdoor 11U Fall Ball sessions. A 11U Development and a 11U AAA Prep sessions.

The details are as follows for the two options:

OPTION 1: 11U Development

It is meant to be fun and engaging. The sessions will focus on the fundamentals – hitting, throwing, fielding, and pitching.

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Start Date: Tuesday, September 5, 2023

End Date: Thursday, October 5, 2023

Time: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Arrival Time: 5:45 PM

Total Sessions: 10 (90 minutes per session)

Location: Eldon Park (4010 Ruby Avenue, North Vancouver, BC)

Note: This outdoor Fall Ball option is meant to be fun and engaging. Will focus on hitting, pitching and other skills required for play at this level. Sessions are weather dependent.

This is a limited enrolment program for players seeking to play 11U AAA in 2024. The program will be designed to challenge skilled players. Players will be assessed during the first session and groupings may be adjusted based on the result of the assessment.

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Start Date: Tuesday, September 5, 2023

End Date: Thursday, October 5, 2023

Time: 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, Arrival Time: 3:45 PM

Total Sessions: 10 (90 minutes per session)

Location: Chris Zuehlke Memorial Park (1905 Jones Avenue, North Vancouver, BC)

Note: This outdoor Fall Ball option is meant to be fun and engaging. Will focus on hitting, pitching and other skills required for play at this level. Sessions are weather dependent.

Born in Years: 2012 & 2011
Ages (as of Jan. 1st, 2024): 11 – 12

NSBA will be tiering our outdoor 13U Fall Ball sessions. A 13U A/AA and a 13U AA/AAA sessions.

The details are as follows for the two options:

OPTION 1: 13U A/AA

This program is targeted at players who do not intend to try out for AAA single season ball in 2024. Players will be challenged to develop individually. Players will be assessed during the first session and groupings may be adjusted based on the result of the assessment.

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Start Date: Tuesday, September 5, 2023

End Date: Thursday, October 5, 2023

Time: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Arrival Time: 5:15 PM

Total Sessions: 10 (120 minutes per session)

This program is targeted at players who wish to try out for 13U AAA single season ball in 2024. Players will be challenged to develop in a highly competitive environment and provided training goals to prepare for the 13U AAA level. Players will be assessed during the first session and groupings may be adjusted based on the result of the assessment.

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Start Date: Tuesday, September 5, 2023

End Date: Thursday, October 5, 2023

Time: 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Arrival Time: 7:15 PM

Total Sessions: 10 (120 minutes per session)

Days: Mondays and Wednesdays

Start Date: Wednesday, September 6, 2023

End Date: Wednesday, October 4, 2023

Time: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Arrival Time: 4:45 PM

Total Sessions: 9 (120 minutes per session)

Location: Eldon Park (4010 Ruby Avenue, North Vancouver, BC)

Note: This outdoor Fall Ball option is meant to be fun and engaging. Will focus on hitting, pitching and other skills required for play at this level. Sessions are weather dependent.

18U

Born in Years: 2008, 2007 & 2006
Ages (as of Jan. 1st, 2024): 15 – 17

NSBA will be offering an outdoor 18U Fall Ball. It is meant to be fun and engaging. The plan for Fall Ball will consist of two practices per week (Mondays & Fridays) and exhibition games on the weekends. There also may be a tournament. It is highly recommended attending if looking to play 18U College Prep next year.

Days: Mondays and Fridays

Start Date: Friday, September 8, 2023

End Date: Friday, October 6, 2023

Locations:

Note: This outdoor Fall Ball option is meant to be fun and engaging. These are weather dependent.

Games: Games will be played with associations from across the Lower Mainland on the weekends.

Coaches: These sessions will be coached by a paid coach and NSBA volunteer coaches.

Max Spots: 30

Cost: TBC, but anticipated to be $150 approx., depending on player numbers
