The North Shore Baseball Association Board is pleased to announce that we have engaged the services of Brooks McNiven as our Development Director. Initially, Brooks McNiven will be working closely with the NSBA Board to develop an overall development plan for the association across all our divisions.
Brooks McNiven comes to us with a wealth of baseball experience. He was drafted in the 46th round of the 1999 draft by the Toronto Blue Jays, but chose not to sign and instead attended UBC and played for the Thunderbirds. In 2003, Brooks McNiven was then drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 4th round. He signed and played with the Giants, playing as high as AAA, for seven seasons. He also had the honor of playing for the Canadian National Team a number of times including the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Since retiring from playing, Brooks McNiven has focused on coaching and has most recently been affiliated with the North Shore Twins, Inside Performance, and the West Vancouver Baseball Academy.
Please join us in welcoming Brooks McNiven to the NSBA. We look forward to working together to make baseball stronger for all players.
