The North Shore Baseball Association celebrated its opening day Sunday, April 8 with a ceremony at North Vancouver’s Chris Zuehlke Memorial Park. The festivities included a player parade, national anthem, and base race followed by a game between two of the club’s teams. The association also introduced new baseball caps adorned with the letters JP to honour Jay Piggot, a North Shore Rescue member and baseball coach who died of cancer last year. photos by Cindy Goodman, North Shore News.
